The Murder City Carnivale of Cinema is a refreshing and exciting three-day Alternative and Underground Film Festival held in Adelaide, South Australia.
The Carnivale of Cinema RETURNS Back from the Future from Friday 14th August to Sunday 16th August. Freakin Indy Feature films from over Australia and the world. Australian and South Australian Premieres, Retro Classics and groovy movies you wont want to miss! The Trasharama LIVE on stage screening is a WORLD PREMIERE and only South Australian Event!
The 2025 Festival was a great success with well attended screenings on all Three days. Held at the Golden Triangle of Independent Cinema. The Piccadilly Cinema, The Mercury Cinema and the Palace Nova Cinemas. Opening night was a sold out screening at the EXI Max Cinema at the Palace Nova. This year it will be exclusively held at the beautiful restored Wallis Cinema complex at Glenelg. Just a tram ride from the city and with plenty of parking access.
The Festival features special Guest Cast and Crews and Question and Answer sessions for selected screenings. This year's open night GALA will feature the band, Pussyhorse playing live in the Foyer. On Saturday there is an afterparty gig with Pussyhorse, The Hammer Horrors and White Kuckle Fever.

In Russ Meyer’s enduringly influential, black-and-white cult classic, three go-go dancers tear across the California desert on a nihilistic crime spree, a rampage saturated in attitude, style, and an insatiable hunger for thrills, no matter how violent. Meyer wrote, directed, and edited Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, but the show is stolen by the trio of women at its core, who uncork outrageous line deliveries and anchor much of the film’s iconic imagery.
